Community is at the heart of everything we do at Jewel Finance.
That sentence is on this page because it is the honest description of how this firm behaves, not because it tested well.
On and off the field
The clearest description of it came from a client rather than from us. Carlin Millar, thanking Geoff Bombell and David Francis for their work on his finance, added this:
“As sponsors and supporters of Asian Rugby League in all its forms Jewel Finance has always been there both on and off the field.”
He is pictured in the jersey. It has our name across the chest.
Community sport, here and overseas
Asked how he spends his time away from work, Geoff Bombell answered:
“Family life is the most important thing. You realise that the older (and wiser) you get. I have long established links to community sport here and overseas that has certainly broadened my horizons and kept me busy.”
Over the years the firm has put support behind local rugby league clubs, surf and other amateur sporting clubs, and a number of children’s and medical charities. We have kept the detail off this page deliberately, because a list of names from years ago is worse than no list. If you want to know what we are currently behind, ask and we will tell you.
The 2025 nomination
In 2025 Specialist Finance Group made Jewel Finance a finalist for its Community Award. It was a pleasant surprise, and it is genuinely the only reason any of this is written down anywhere.

The other kind of community
The one inside the business.
Forty-six years. Forty-three years. Twenty plus. A father and son on the same broking team. A whole office and their partners at the national awards, in one photograph.
People do not stay somewhere for four decades because the commission structure is good. The reason clients get looked after here is that the people looking after them are looked after too. It is not more complicated than that.
