These terms apply to your use of this website. Please read them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Jewel Finance Pty Ltd (ABN 14 088 819 676, ACN 088 819 676), holder of Australian Credit Licence 390492, a member of the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia and the Finance Brokers Association of Australia. In these terms “we”, “us” and “our” mean Jewel Finance Pty Ltd. Our offices are at 118 Cahors Road, Padstow NSW 2211 and Shop 3, 1030 Pittwater Road, Collaroy NSW 2097.

2. We are a broker, not a lender

We are a mortgage and finance broker. We refer clients to credit providers such as banks, building societies, credit unions, finance companies, mortgage originators and mortgage managers. We are not a lender and we cannot make an offer of finance. Only a credit provider can do that, and only after the information you provide has been verified, accepted and assessed against that provider’s lending criteria. Nothing on this website is an offer of credit or an approval.

3. This website is information, not credit assistance

The content of this website is general information. It does not take account of your objectives, financial situation or needs, and it does not constitute credit assistance, financial advice, taxation advice or legal advice. We only provide credit assistance once you have engaged us and we have obtained sufficient information about your circumstances to do so properly.

4. Calculators and estimates

Our calculators are provided as a convenience. Every figure they produce is an estimate only, based entirely on the assumptions and figures you enter. They do not reflect any particular lender’s credit policy, servicing assessment, fees, charges or eligibility criteria, and they are not a quote or an approval. Government duties and fees change, and the rates used are stated with the date they were current. Do not make a financial decision on the basis of a calculator result alone.

5. No guarantee of outcome

We do not guarantee that any application will be approved, that any particular product, rate or lender will be available to you, or that any transaction will complete within any particular timeframe. Those matters are determined by credit providers and by circumstances outside our control.

6. Accuracy and availability

We take reasonable care to keep this website accurate and current, but we do not warrant that it is free from error or omission, or that it will be available uninterrupted. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time without notice. Please also read our disclaimer, which sets out further limitations.

7. Third party links

Where we link to a third party website, we do so because we think it may be useful. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content, and a link is not an endorsement or a recommendation of any product or service offered there.

8. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise indicated, the content, design, text, graphics and the Jewel Finance name and logo on this website are owned by or licensed to us. You may view and print pages for your own personal use. You may not otherwise reproduce, adapt, republish or commercially exploit any part of this website without our written permission. Third party names and marks that appear on this site remain the property of their respective owners.

9. Your information

When you send an enquiry or use a form on this website, you consent to us contacting you about that enquiry. We treat your information as confidential, subject to the exceptions in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. Please do not send us sensitive documents through this website unless we have asked you to.

10. Concerns and complaints

If something has gone wrong, tell us first and we will try to resolve it. Contact us on (02) 8790 1111 or at info@jewelfinance.com.au. As a licensed credit provider we also have obligations under our Australian Credit Licence, and as members of the MFAA and FBAA we are subject to their professional standards.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page is the current one, and it applies from the date it is posted.
